Like a dew drop…

Like a dew drop…
Dew-Drop-n2

I had once come across a beautiful story…

Story of a Dew Drop…
Which was sitting on a leaf,
Catching the sunlight and throwing it back out.
It was proud of its simple beauty, it was very content.
Around it were other dew drops,
Some on the same leaf and some on other leaves around it.
The dew drop was sure that it was the best,
the most special dew drop of them all.
Ah, it was good to be a dew drop!
The wind rose and the plant began to shake, tipping the leaf.
Terror gripped the dew drop as gravity
pulled it towards the edge of the leaf, towards the unknown.
Why? Why was this happening?
Things were comfortable.
Things were safe.
Why did they have to change? Why?
The dewdrop reached the edge of the leaf.
It was terrified,
Certain that it would be smashed into a thousand pieces below;
Sure that this was the end.
The day had only just begun and the end had come so quickly.
It seemed so unfair.
It seemed so meaningless.
It tried desperately to do whatever it could to cling to the leaf,
But it was no use.
Finally, it let go,
Surrendering to the pull of gravity.
Down, down it fell.
Below there seemed to be a mirror.
A reflection of itself seemed to be coming up to meet the dewdrop.
Closer and closer they came together until finally…
And then the fear transformed into deep joy
as the tiny dewdrop merged with the vastness that was the pond.
Now, the dewdrop was no more,
But it was not destroyed.
And it was not dead.
It had become one with the whole…

Just as the dewdrop we may also be proud and content or discontent with our lives. But feeling absolutely safe in the illusory comfort we have created for our selves. Just as the dewdrop we may feel we are the best, the most special in our own ways. Which is true. We are the best and are most special in our own ways.
The wind arises in our lives too. We shake; we tremble and are gripped in fear. We do not like changes. We like the things to be just the way they are. When wind arises we too ask ‘Why?’ “Why me?’
We feel life is unfair to us. God is unfair to us. Everything seems meaningless. We try and cling on to our life and all the illusory perceptions of life. But what we have to understand is that by letting go our Kaam-vasna (Desire-Lust),Krodh (anger), Lobh (greed),Moh (attachment), Fareb (trickery),Dushmani (enmity) & other negative maya; We can allow; What to do,What not to do, Self control, Chaitanya (pure Consciousness) ,Power for inner light-peace-journey, Accurate perception of maya (illusion) & Wisdom re-surface within us.
The pull of gravity to our roots (Divine Love, Light and Power) is strong that there will come a day for all when we cannot hold on the illusory deceptions for very long. We will have to let go and Surrender to Power of Now, God, Guru and become One with the Higher Energies.
So why not make it happen now? It is the Purpose of taking birth. Why wait?
Once we are truly prepared to surrender to the path then we will observe that it does not take long at all to reach. Just like the dewdrop within a moment you can reach. And Bhakti and Devotion toward this oneness keeps us externally Healthy, Wealthy and Successful.
When we surrender and accept ourselves to life and its ways – we stop complaining on its adversities and complexities. And what do you think is unfolded? Negative thinking is reduced or stopped and life becomes beautiful. We begin to see divinity in everything and everyone around us. Just like all the higher energies know and recognise this divinity in each of us. It is not only bowing down or praying that makes a good Disciple but Craving, Faith, Love, Gratitude for the Guru and higher energies that will make him best.
We are part of the Whole! We are the reflection of that Whole, that Entity. We have to go there sooner or later. So why not sooner? Why not now?
